The beautiful East Lake Park which is adjacent to 2687 Memorial Drive was a benefactor a few days ago. The newly renovated park received some extra Wood Mulch. The mulch came courtesy of the Magnolia Tree which was removed to make way for the additional house foundation. It is truly amazing to see the capacity of a Tree Truck in action. All that is left of a decades old tree is shreds of the former bark and branches. With the Magnolia no more, the foundation forms were set and the concrete was poured. Come back soon. Once the concrete is set the new framing goes up followed by the roof trusses.
Try as we may to keep a lovely full sized Magnolia Tree in the side yard the Arborist says we must cut it down. The original plans and Arborist who visited the site let us limb the tree on the side nearest the new dwelling. However, the root structure is so substantial, in time the root system very well could impact the New Foundation Walls, Garage Floor and Driveway. No need to worry though, we have a wonderful Landscape Plan installing nearly 50 new trees and shrubs to make up for the Magnolia. We will say farewell to the Magnolia Tree on June 1st.
